The true essence of blogging in its purest form.

Is, to be honest, nonsense. Most blogs are about random people telling the tales of their boring lives. Usually middle to upper class and with a faint hint of intelligence, but still dreadful to read.

For those of you who expect this blog to be different, innovative and about greatness, I must disappoint you. This blog will be about my boring, middle class life in the dreary suburbs of Amsterdam. This blog is going to be quite personal so for the time being I’m not going to put my real name on it. Call me Time.  Let me introduce myself.

I’m an average teenager, I’m 17, overweight, brown hair, brown eyes. I’m in a reasonably good school which I yet have to graduate from. This activity is on top of my priorities list, at least, it should be. I’m, much like my friend E, scared to death of this year and I’ll probably go into the school records as most-pathetic-exam-candidate-ever.

My life has had ups and downs, one of the major ups was a few years ago, when I was about 14. I met a girl named Sara on an online forum. She’s been the saving grace of most of my teenage years and has kept me from complete and utter insanity caused by a multitude of reasons. To this time I’m friends with Sara, even though we’re not talking on a daily basis, I still consider her to be one of my best friends.

Another part of my life, a major part of it, is the internet. I’m active on a great many websites and have held staff positions on a multitude of Apple communities and TeenHelp.org. From the latter I resigned a number of weeks ago due to my own business and the fact that the (online)world is going to hell.

Next to my school and my activities for other websites, I also have my own. I’m busy starting a small webdesign initiative where I support young enthusiastic people in getting websites. It gives them free hosting and professional resources, allowing them to learn more about web-languages and design. In this project I also design sites for people, but that’s because I want to enjoy the nicer things in life too and want to earn some money here and there.

I enjoy a number of activities, this can differ from my math homework (on rare occasions) to visiting the cimema to reading novels. A few things that my life can’t exist without are listed below (in alphabetical order):

- Music!

- Friends (not that I have that many, but the ones I do have matter extra much!)

- My laptop (it’s my connection to the world)

- Diet Coke (Coca Cola Light as it’s known here)

- Books & Movies

- Photography

- Acting. (I know I don’t do it on a daily to weekly basis, but sometimes I just.. really want to be someone else for a few hours. Depending on my to-do list this desire can become stronger)

So, now you know something about me, it’s time to start blogging and share my inner most thoughts, secrets and desires with you.
